The origins of Universal Light and Sound arose on a grassroots level in 1993 at New York University in the shadow of the ‘90s downtown party scene. In 2007, Universal Light and Sound, LLC was born in partnership with Mina, a former entertainment writer for People magazine, Time Out NY and Hearst magazines. Together they expanded into custom lighting design and stage rentals for red carpet events, press conferences and industry parties and since then ULS has been a fixture in the event industry. From hip raw spaces in Brooklyn to black-tie events at the Waldorf Astoria, ULS delivers high-quality equipment and excellent customer service to add just that bit of style and pizzazz to your event.
