About Eikon Photo
"I’m a wedding photographer, but that in itself says nothing. Styles of wedding photography vary enormously. Mine is a more documentary photojournalistic approach. I prefer to stay unobtrusive and non-invasive as much as I can. I avoid overly posed photographs. I look for the decisive moments that reflect the emotions and spirit of your wedding day. As a wedding photographer, I have a relaxed working style that encompasses both the formal and candid moments as well as the multitude of details that create a truly memorable wedding. This is documentary wedding photography as it happens. This means capturing the funny, the artistic, the glamorous, the memories and indeed any group and family photographs that you want. Because a wedding is a one-time event, your wedding photographer must be able to anticipate the action and also be prepared for unexpected twists. I am always in search of original angles while still keeping a ‘fly on the wall’ approach. Communication and planning time lines before the event can alleviate much of the stress that is sometimes associated with wedding photography. An ability to tactfully take charge helps – particularly when photographing large groups or families. I have photographed weddings of every religion, nationality, and sexual orientation and my open-minded approach to wedding photography and life makes me approachable and honest. I offer my services equally to all, gay or straight and I’m delighted that the USA has finally recognized the rights of same sex couples to marry. Are gay weddings different ? Gay wedding photography is, guess what – just like straight wedding photography!! Two people, in love, committing to a life together in front of family and friends. I am a wedding photographer for gay weddings and I am happy to say there are many wedding vendors welcoming the gay community."
